Are all of your stores open?

Yes, all our Comfort Stores in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are open. We are offering a completely contactless service as well as exclusive in-store appointments where you can have the store to yourself.

Please note our stores in Wales are temporarily closed until Monday 9th November in line with the Welsh government’s advice.

Exclusive appointment times are as follows:

Monday – Saturday: 9am – 11am & 2:30pm – 5pm

Sunday: 10am – 11am & 2:30pm – 4pm

What precautions are in place in-store to keep me safe?

To reassure you that you are in safe hands, we will always:

  • Wash and sanitise our hands regularly (hourly and between customers).
  • Wear the appropriate personal protection provided.
  • Maintain a 2-metre distance from you and anyone visiting with you; as advised by the government.
  • We will ensure that no other customers will come into your vicinity whilst you are in-store, and we will not serve other customers whilst we serve you.
  • Ensure there is no physical contact between you and ourselves.
  • Perform a Contactless 7-Point Seating Assessment™ to find the right size and solution for you.
  • We will sanitise our store and products regularly to ensure the same high standard of cleanliness for all of our customers. You will also have full access to our mobile sanitisation station for anything you require.
  • For your peace of mind, our doors will remain closed to ensure we are in full control of the cleanliness and sanitisation of our store at all times.
  • We have a 100% wellness measure in place, ensuring that if any of our colleagues experience any symptoms, they will self-isolate in-line with Government advice.

Do I need to wear a face covering when visiting an HSL store?

We would politely request that all our customers wear a face covering unless you are exempt from doing so.


What if I don’t want a store appointment?

If you’d like to pop-in to one of our stores at your convenience, you can do so between 11am – 2:30pm Monday to Sunday, or if you’d prefer to shop from the comfort of your own home, why not book a free Contactless Home Visit.


Can I book a safe and Contactless Home Visit?

Yes, all of our home visits are entirely contactless. For your absolute peace of mind, we have put in place a number of steps to allow us to safely carry out a Contactless Home Visit.  These steps have been approved by our independent Occupational Therapist, Julie Jennings Dip COT, HCPC and an independent Health and Safety consultant. Please note our Home Visit service in Wales is temporarily suspended until Monday 9th November in line with the Welsh government’s advice.

Clinically Extremely Vulnerable

If you have received a letter or been contacted by your GP to say that you are classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, at this time we do not believe it is safe for us to carry out a Contactless Home Visit. However, our experienced team of Comfort Specialists are trained to support you over the telephone. Please don’t hesitate to give them a call on 01924 507050.

As reassurance that you are in safe hands during a Contactless Home Visit, we will always:

  • Sanitise our hands and our furniture before entering your home.
  • Wear the appropriate personal protection provided
  • Maintain a 2 metre distance from you and anyone in your household; as advised by the government (where possible).
  • Ensure there is no physical contact between you and ourselves.
  • Perform a Contactless 7-Point Seating Assessment™ to find the right size and solution for you.
  • Adjust how we do things to suit you; please just let us know if there is anything additional we can do to make you feel comfortable with the service we are providing.
  • When we leave, we will sanitise all our products to ensure the same high standard of cleanliness before entering the next customer’s home.
  • We have a 100% wellness measure in place, ensuring that if any of our colleagues experience any symptoms, they self-isolate in-line with Government advice.

You can rest assured knowing that all of our safety

Occupational Therapist and an accredited Health & Safety consultant.


Are your deliveries safe?

To ensure a Contactless Delivery, before delivering your new furniture we will send you a delivery guide which will outline our safety precautions, as well as provide details on how we will ensure a Contactless Delivery.

When delivering your items, our team will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including visors, masks, gloves and shoe protectors.

You will be asked to confirm which room you’d like the product placed in using the note cards in your delivery pack.  You will also be asked to indicate with a note card (again, provided in your pack), where in the room you would like your furniture to be positioned.

As reassurance that you are in safe hands your delivery team will always:

  • Sanitise their hands before entering your home.
  • Wear the appropriate personal protection provided.
  • Maintain a 2 metre distance from you and anyone in your household; as advised by the Government (where possible).
  • Ensure there is no physical contact between you and them.

We have a 100% wellness measure in place, ensuring that if any of our colleagues experience any Covid-19 symptoms, they self -isolate in-line with Government advice.

Are you making deliveries?

Yes, we are continuing to make deliveries throughout the UK, and you can rest assured that all of our deliveries are entirely contactless and to the room of your choice.

Following the Welsh government’s advice we are not making any deliveries in Wales until Monday 9th November.


Where is my furniture made?

All HSL furniture is handcrafted in the UK, with the exception of our swivel chairs which are made outside of the UK.
