We put all the care and attention imaginable into creating our range of sofas, making them as comfortable, practical and supportive as possible.
We use only the best quality fabrics and materials when building your sofa, and the design gives you all the support and comfort you need to alleviate pain from arthritis, backache and swollen joints. Our sofas are craftsmen-built, with stability, style and comfort in mind and some are available on castors to make them easier to move.
Should you ever fancy putting your feet up for an afternoon snooze, then our drop-arm sofa range might be of interest to you. Both the arms simply drop down, allowing you to stretch out fully and comfortably without having to leave the warmth and comfort of your living room.
It’s the little things that make all the difference
When we build chairs, we make sure we check things like seat height and lumbar support, and it is just as important to consider these when designing a sofa. So, our sofas are designed to match many of our chair designs, this way we can help you choose the one that is right for you.
We make sure that sensible seat heights, easy-grip armrests and strong stable designs make our chairs very easy to love. To sit most comfortably, your body and thighs should be in an ‘L’ position with your feet reaching the floor without too much pressure on them. This takes the pressure off your back and knees, allowing muscles to relax. In the footwear, you’d usually have on when relaxing, measure from the back of your knee to the floor, and then choose a sofa with a seat height of one inch more or less than this measurement. Our Occupational Therapist trained Comfort Specialists in-Store will help you choose the right sofa by conducting our very own 7 Point Seating Assessment™ . This will make sure your furniture is just right.
We only choose the best quality wood, foams, webbing, springs and fabric or leather to support you sitting comfortably. Nothing is left to chance. Even the depth and width of the seat cushions are calculated for maximum comfort and support.
Our specially designed backrests prevent unnecessary tension in your back, neck and shoulders, and all our sofas have lumbar supports that help you to sit correctly; this then leads to you being more comfortable.
