With the sunshine coming through and the long days ahead, it's time to get your loved ones out and relax in the garden. Whether you're hosting a garden party or simply enjoying the heat, here are 5 cocktail recipes to spice up your evening:

Negroni

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 50ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 50ml Campari

For the Garnish:

  • Thin slices of Orange

Method:

Pour all your ingredients into a mixing glass or jug. Stir everything together until the outside of the glass feels cold.

Strain over your glasses and add 1 large piece of ice (sphere or cubed) to each glass. Garnish with your oranges.

Martini

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 120ml Gin or Vodka
  • 2 tbsp Dry Vermouth

For the Garnish:

  • Up to 3 Olives on a stick Or 2 Lemon Peels (Twisted)

Method:

In a cocktail shaker, add all your ingredients and combine until the shaker feels cold. Strain into chilled Martini glasses and add your garnish.

Whiskey Sour

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 100ml Bourbon
  • 70ml Lemon Juice
  • 25ml Sugar Syrup
  • 4 Dashes of Bitters
  • 1 Fresh Egg White
  • Lemon Zest
  • Lemon Slices (Optional)

For the Garnish:

  • Slice of Orange
  • Cherry on a stick

Method:

Prepare your glasses by adding ice. Add all your ingredients (except for the lemon zest) to a cocktail shaker and shake until hard.

Strain the cocktail over the glasses and ice. With the shiny side down, squeeze the lemon zest so the scented oils spray across the surface. Add your garnish and enjoy.

Margarita

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 100ml Tequila
  • 50ml Lime Juice
  • 40ml Triple Sec

For the Garnish

  • Salt
  • 4 Lime Wedges

Method:

Sprinkle a thin layer of salt onto a plate or saucer. Rub a wedge of lime along the rim of the glasses and dip each glass into the salt. Add a desirable amount of ice to each glass.

Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous amount of ice, tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels cold.

Strain the mix over the prepared glasses and serve with a wedge of lime on rim of the glasses.

Aperol Spritz

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 100ml Aperol
  • 150ml Prosecco
  • Soda (to top up your glass)
  • Orange Slices (Optional)

Method:

Add your preferred amount of ice to 2 glasses, pour 50ml of Aperol and equal halves of prosecco into each glass. Top the glasses up with soda and garnish with orange slices.
