Good furniture care still matters. HSL recommends regular care and maintenance, avoiding incorrect cleaning methods and keeping furniture away from avoidable risks such as direct heat, sharp objects and products that may mark fabric or leather.

What are you covered for?
The Guardsman Care Kits are designed to help protect your furniture from qualifying accidents that result in staining or damage. This can include everyday incidents such as food and drink spillages, ink marks, make-up stains, accidental tears, burns and pet damage from a single incident.
If an eligible accident happens, Guardsman will assess the issue and arrange expert stain removal or repair where possible. Where a repair is not possible, replacement parts may be considered in line with the terms of the cover.
Accidental staining

What is not covered?
The Care Kits are intended for sudden accidents, not general cleaning or gradual wear from everyday use. It is important to follow the care instructions provided with your furniture and report qualifying accidents as soon as possible.
HSL’s terms also make clear that the Guardsman policy is a dry policy, does not include chemicals and is not Scotchgard protection.
