Oat and Honey Cookies
Put a sweet spin on the traditional oat cookies with a dash of honey. These delightful and rich treats are perfect for adding that warming, homemade touch to any occasion. Leave a plate out on Christmas eve with a glass of milk for Father Christmas, add them to your lunch box for work or dunk them into your favourite brew.

How to make Oat Cookies
Ingredients
- 100g porridge oats
- 100g plain flour
- 100g caster sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 tablespoon honey (or syrup)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (or mixed spice)
Method
- Preheat your oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.
- Mix your oats, flour and spices until fully combined.
- Melt your butter in a pan and add your sugar and honey being careful not to let these burn in the pan. Heat everything up until the sugar has dissolved.
- Combine your butter and syrup mixture with your dry ingredients. Roll into balls and place on a lined baking tray.
- Place your tray in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Pro Tip: Add chocolate chips or raisins and make the cookies extra delicious.
